OK finally updated my AMD drivers to cat 12.9 beta. Speed and all seem to be ok and I love the individual GPU stats like u have on lite
always wanted it on plus as well.
The Time.Left has got me confused, why display it twice?

Can't get all GPUs working with AMD 12.9 beta,
hardware: 3x HD5970
command: ./oclHashcat-plus64.bin -a 3 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa -1 ?l?d?u?s ?1?1?1?1?1?1?1?1 --force
AMD 12.9 beta + oclHC-plus v0.10b17 = 1 of 6 gpus show 99%, all others idle
AMD 12.9 beta + oclHC-plus v0.09 = 3 of 6 gpus show 99%, all others idle
oclHC-plus v0.09 works fine with AMD 12.8. I've uninstalled the drivers multiple times, no luck. any ideas?
edit: oclHC-lite v0.11b54 does the same thing with AMD 12.9beta, only 1 gpu shows 99%
if you are on linux, 12.9 only supports multiple GPUs if x11 is not running.
I always though amd needed X to be running, no? so basically try ssh?
That changed with 12.9 beta. X11 must be stopped.
ctrl+alt+f1 to stop X11 right? i also tried "service lightdm stop" but in both cases oclhashcat doesn't run
edit:
figured it out. had to comment out this entire block from /etc/init/lightdm.conf and reboot
Code:
start on ((filesystem
and runlevel [!06]
and started dbus
and (drm-device-added card0 PRIMARY_DEVICE_FOR_DISPLAY=1
or stopped udev-fallback-graphics))
or runlevel PREVLEVEL=S)
stop on runlevel [016]
however it seems fan control, overclocking, etc are still dependent on X11 and cat-plus.10b17 doesn't utilize all cores if it's running
FYI ctrl+alt+f1 simply drops you to tty1, x11 is still running and bound to tty7.
