I know there can't exist one "best" attack mode, this may depend in hash type, language .. and so on.
Since i don't have big dictionary i use brute force, i leave my pc open for few hours/days until password is cracked.
Also, i do not use rules, or any other special settings:
My pc:
CPU: Intel core 2 duo 3.2 GHZ 8 MB l2
GPU: MSI Radeon HD6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition OC 1GB DDR5 256-bit
Ram: 16 GB
OS: BackTrack 5 rc3
App: ocl hash cat plus 64 bit.
Dictionaries: All from insidepro
Let me know in generally what do you use, and what would be better for me.
