I don't think there's any specialized reason it shouldn't function as long as your motherboard helps Pcie MR-IOV. from a specialized angle, i don't think this might be much unique in relation to utilizing an inactive pci splitter or pci expander. then again even any unique in relation to a double gpu card so far as that is concerned.
