Hi i need help with hashcat.
When i test hashcat64.exe -m 2500 -b i got this
Benchmarking uses hand-optimized kernel code by default.
You can use it in your cracking session by setting the -O option.
Note: Using optimized kernel code limits the maximum supported password length.
To disable the optimized kernel code in benchmark mode, use the -w option.

but when i use hashcat like this
hashcat64.exe -m 2500 -w 3 -o test.txt G:\untitled-folder\test.hccapx -a 6 F:\wpa111\Rockyou.txt ?d
i'm getting this resultat

I mean my speed i going down from Speed.Dev.#*.....:   288.6 kH/s to Speed.Dev.#*.....:   162.3 kH/s
My OS is windows 10 64bit my video is AMD radeon 7990
drivers version Crimson ReLive Edition 17.11.4 Optional
Thank you Smile
Your hccapx has 9 handshakes in it. Use only 1 at a time by manually cleaning the cap and selecting the best handshake in Wireshark. And for future reference, if you make your title less skiddish, you'll probably get more attention.
soxrok2212 Thank you Smile))))))))
Also with the newest version of Hashcat (4.0.0+)for best performance use -w 4 now not 3.
thank you slyexe Smile
slyexe
today i test hashcat-4.0.1+78 with -w 4 and i get only 133.4kH/s and my PC start work very slow
then i test it with -w 3 and i get 214.1kH/s and my PC is work ok.
i don't know why i get this big difference.
Might be throttling due to high temperatures and/or to reduce power consumption. 7990 is a shitty card.
Did you set the fan speed up? 33% is very optimistic for a 7990. They should run >70% all the time to keep the temps down. Plus the upper card (device 1) has some temp issues, you can detect that at the higher GPU temps while the fans also spins much higher. Maybe you can put both cards further apart or ramp up the airflow in your case. Or you can put an old card in between to shield one GPU from another. As long as the downer one has enough room to breathe of course Wink

Or the CPU is at some kind of limit with I/O- and/or Interrupt-handling.

The 7990 is a dual GPU card... both chips on same PCB so the cooling is even worse in this case.
