File-dialog / outfile / file create message: The question wether or not that outfile is be created in the file select dialog is just a message that shows because you select a file in the dialog that does not exists. That message is by a component of the windows operating system and not output by hashcat gui code. So when you see that messagebox, that outfile is not created, hashcat-cli will create it when launched and there is something to output.
The Error Message which is displayed is by outfile viewer. On some systems this message appears, we were only partly able to track it down. The new version will have some modifications regarding that issue so it will probably help you if released.
It would be nice if you could send me you path of installation and path of outfile in full (on windows XP paths normally start with a drive letter and they have back and not forward slashes). If you can provide correct information about pathes, it might help to solve the issue. You can send it via PM as well.
