Just racked my new DeCryptum GPU Cracker......12 X 2080 Ti cards water cooled.
Some photos....

Seems like a neat system. Would be interested to see how much bottlenecking it does and how many errors you run into with that CPU/RAM config though. Only an 8 core i7 for 12x 2080TI? And only 32gb of RAM for 132gb of VRAM? Plus, all the GPUs are being run on x1 USB risers... That's cutting it _really_ short on system resources for that many high end GPUs.
The CPU is an i9....

Still an 8 core 1151 chip, just slightly different branding. Typically I would suggest 1 core per GPU if possible, though i guess if HT is enabled you will at least have 16 _threads_ so it won't be the worst on CPU, just definitely not what I would spec for a rig that large/expensive. The limited RAM and x1 risers are likely to be bigger issues immediately, you may only notice the CPU bottlenecking under certain attacks.
@jhcameron

Can you post please your benchmark results an a picture of your Server ?

Thanks
That is not a GPGPU server. GPGPU servers use special chips on the motherboard and use a switchboard to make multiple GPUs all work at 16X. Your cards will work at 1X. You will run into trouble in dictionary attacks and fast hashes. Not enough CPU cores, not enough RAM, not enough PCIE speed... Liquid cooling? Omg, I am not even mentioning the problems associated with leaks. May the force be with you.

That machine (may be looking handsome, I accept) has a mining rig configuration, and if you read the forums before making such an investment, you would know that mining rigs are not recommended for hashcat. You will be limited to commercial password cracking software, which are far less advanced compared to hashcat when using your system.

By the way RTX 2080Ti will be obsolete next week on September 17.

Last words: Branding a mining rig with a fancy name will not make it a professional password cracking system.
Can"t wait to see 3090 benchmarks Wink

Longtail....Yup...I know that the 2080Ti cards are being replaced with the 30XX series cards but there are several factors in play -

1) You can get the 2080Ti cards now and there are systems available for retail delivery using these cards right now (It is a corporate purchase with budgeting issues/spend the money now type of deal).
2) Nothing is going to be top dog for long.....I currently also have 2 other GPU cracking servers with 8 X 1080Ti cards in each one. They still work awesome and are used weekly.
3) I will get another GPU server full of the 30XX series cards next year.
