1) Control panel -> System -> Advanced system settings ->
System properties -> Advanced tab -> Environment variables
Then add a "New" System variable
devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices with a value of 1
2) open device manager and right click, View -> show hidden devices
3) delete all detached video devices
