I am not sure how much better the 860M will be but can somebody with knowledge on the importance of memory bandwidth, shader units, texture mapping units etc. are on cracking hashes. Can anyone shed some light on the speed increase (%) between these two graphics cards (can't get a AMD card atm)?

Waste of money? I know laptops aren't up to the standards of desktops, but are they really much slower than desktop graphics cards?

Yes, they really much slower and also not intended to run on high loads for long time because of thermal issues.

What speeds would you guys expect on a single MD5 hash using a 760M and the 860M card?
