Yes, it depends on your system host memory & your gpu memory as well, so no fixed answer, try splitting the list until you find the right value :) |

Do not post hashes, read the forum rules.
Also until you try the right password a hash won't get cracked, you could spend years without actually cracking a hash depending of the plaintext. So likel... |

There is no such algo/direct way of using hashcat for the hashing part.
But you can use hashcat to generate candidates and then do the hashing with a script in any language you're familiar with, do... |

40 bytes hex 'hashes' could be many things... if you know where it's from you should probably know the algo.
