Investing on hardware is a solution. You can build a multi gpu system if hash cracking pays your bills.

Download oclHashcat from here (https://hashcat.net/files/cudaHashcat-1.21.7z). In the archive you will find oclHashcat.bin. It is the binary you run in linux.

From what I can understand, you have to delete the file "oclHashcat.restore", which is in the same folder as the oclHashcat.exe/bin.
