Post: RE: 1080 TI - new best bang for buck?
Its nice and all to put a hash/$ figure... BUT
Would you consider something "best bang for the buck" even if it takes twice as long for example? or consumes 30% more power? just some examples.

Thread: R9 290x benchmark crashing at scrypt
Post: RE: R9 290x benchmark crashing at scrypt
Weird. I ran WPA and MD5 cracking all day without issues, so it seems that it is only limited to scrypt specifically. |

How can I report a potential bug or malfunction if my benchmark crashes as soon as it reaches scrypt for version 3.30 and 3.40?
Anything I can try to find out why, like older versions? Please help... |

Did some googling, so yes the 970M has 1280 cores vs the R9 290x has 2816. That explains a lot. Clock speed is 924 vs 1000 on the R9 |

I have a 970m in a laptop, and a r9 290x desktop, I ran version 3.30 on both, and got these results:
R9 290x:
Md5: 13043 Mh/sec
SHA1: 4704 Mh/sec
970M:

Also, the 3.30 seems faster than the 3.40 on my card:
3.30
Md5: 13043 Mh/sec
SHA1: 4704 Mh/sec
3.40:
Md5: 11208 Mh/sec
