Thread: Hardware advice on a new build
Post: RE: Hardware advice on a new build
Also be sure that the case you’re looking at can fit all 4 GPUs. I didn’t look at anything more than the pictures and it looks like only 3 fit. Seemed that the PSU was in the way. |

I can’t see any cards on that link, but your best options would be GTX 1070 or better. Founders edition cards are preferred for most applications.

I’ve had a cluster with 100+ nodes. You don’t need anything crazy. The only bandwidth heavy part is sending dictionaries to agents. The rest is just agent status etc. All done over HTTP(S).

You do it the same way as you would in hashcat. In the new task parameters, add -a 3 and then your mask. |

You may want to try with -w 3 or -w 4... dunno how the optimized kernels will perform on old cards like those.
Code:

hashcat -m 2500 cap.hccapx dictionary.txt -w 3

or -w 4

Be sure to install with --opencl=rocm flag set, otherwise you will either get an error or hashcat will just hang.

You don't have any OpenCL driver installed for you GPU. Google for the correct OpenCL platform based on your system and install it. |

Thank you replying soxrock2212.
I thought I needed at least 1,2 and 4 for a handshake to be complete. Only needing 1 and 2 makes sense why this now works.
