Oh no I’m not arguing that they should be making them specifically for people other than gamers, I just wish they would’ve kept the most “compatability” for everyone.

Flomac, I'd be weary using the benchmarks I provided on 411.63. They are anywhere between 5 and 10% slower than my benchmark on 398.82, depending on the algorithm.

IMO, when a card has a "295W" TDP... Vega 64... (which we all know is WAY higher in practice), it thermal throttles almost immediately, and is years behind and cant even compete competitively with a 2...

FYI, Intel’s OpenCL platform is pretty broken and you reaaalllllyyy shouldn’t use a laptop for cracking. You’ll melt it.

Nvidia drivers will limit a 1080 Ti to 300W to keep it within spec, and a 1080 will probably stay ~

The problem is your card, which is from 2006, and not hashcat. As dioxide said, you need a GPU from this decade. The 8800 has 128 MB of usable VRAM.

First, a 1080 Ti can and will chew 300W each. That’s 1200W already, not including your CPU, fans, and other peripherals. 1500W probably isn’t enough. As far as liquid cooling, it will always k...
