Thread: Hashcat AMD Driver support
Post: RE: Hashcat AMD Driver support
You can use most any build newer than 15.12. Crossfire is not needed for hashcat. You can use 2 “independent” GPUs. |

Thread: Won't start cracking (beginner)
Post: RE: Won't start cracking (beginner)
You specify attack mode 3 (mask) but you don’t provide a mask so there is no work to be done. Head over here and do a bit of reading https://hashcat.net/wiki/ (https://hashcat.net/wiki/) |

This looks more like an Ethereum mining rig than a Hashcat rig. The RX480 is a shitty GPU for password cracking, and if you have 48GB VRAM (6x8GB) then you re... |

You have 17 handshakes in your .hccapx file. Remove 16 of them. |

Message 1 and 2 have everything you need to "attempt" to crack the handshake... 3 and 4 are used to verify key.
Also be sure that the messages all came from the same exchange, you can't mix and mat... |

Thank you replying soxrock2212.
I thought I needed at least 1,2 and 4 for a handshake to be complete. Only needing 1 and 2 makes sense why this now works.

Currently the best performing card is a GTX 1080 Ti, with the GTX 1080 following close(ish) behind. There are new NVIDIA cards on the way, but their performance for compute workloads is unknown.

It is still doing the same computation as mode 2500... AKA it still has to calculate the PMK which is very slow. |

A 1070 should not be getting up to 80C. Make sure you have good airflow.

First, a 1080 Ti can and will chew 300W each. That’s 1200W already, not including your CPU, fans, and other peripherals. 1500W probably isn’t enough.
As far as liquid cooling, it will always k... |

Thread: Extensible Build Review

I haven’t tested myself, but I don’t think we’re nearly at the realm of AMD. My dual R9 390X each sucked up almost 400W. The 2080 Ti, while certainly a HORRIBLE card for the money, can’t even ... |
