you have to get the hash which you want to attack. for example with rar2john from johntheripper. $RAR3$*1* is not supported afaik

That tool is not existing on the machine ;-) -> However the vmalloc kernel setting to 256M solved the issue. I guess I have to go 64 bits from now (and buy a bigger power supply)

if you are 100% sure that its a sha224 hash, and "0.70" produces the given hash, then the "0.70" is salted because 0.70 does not produce the given hash
