Post: RE: Hybrid Attack?

Nope, you're wrong. "-a 1 password.txt ?d?l?d?l" wouldn't do anything unless you actually had a file named "?d?l?d?l", and it would only be the same as "-a 6 password.txt ?d?l?d?l" if the file had all...

It's the same keyspace for both attacks. Do you understand what "-t 10" does? Hint: Both of your attacks have a keyspace of 10^9.

    Thread: GTX 950 bench?
Post: RE: GTX 950 bench?

950 will be 2.67x slower than a GTX 980, but actually a bit slower than that even since it won't overclock as well. So I'd just divide 980 benchmarks by 3 and that should roughly give you the speed yo...

Post: RE: DES w/mask

PASSLENGTH=6 means the password has to be a minimum of 6 chars. descrypt has a max of 8 chars, so the password could be 6, 7, or 8 chars long. Your mask only did length 6. You still have lengths 7 & 8...

Backslash is an escape character. You hashed nothing, and thus ended up with a null hash. The actual nthash of a single backslash character is aa6827f0d30e81d0ece457e99188b6a8: Code: -- epixoip ~ ...
