Hashcat looks at the OpenCL library version (as that's what matters.) What does clinfo say? |

Sounds like the kernel module built okay, but the libraries didn't get installed properly. How did you install the driver? |

Thread: Low GPU load for dictionary attack
Post: RE: Low GPU load for dictionary attack
You're not giving the GPU enough work to do. It is impossible to gain any acceleration with straight dictionary attacks against fast hashes unless you supply an amplifier.

You can use rules with the combinator attack, but only single rules with -j/-k.
As far as a small dictionary of common words goes, have a look at https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionary%3aFrequen... |

Specifying two wordlists in -a 0 doesn't combine the wordlists, it just runs them in serial. So your command was analogous to the following two commands:

Thread: PCI SERR with AMD but not NVIDIA
Post: RE: PCI SERR with AMD but not NVIDIA
Ah yeah, +225 would put you at well over 1500 Mhz. Should be just fine at +100, and you could probably go up to +200 without issue. But for testing purposes +100 is a good number. |

Just looks like an ASIC hang. +225 clock offset is rather aggressive (depending on the factory clocking), try reducing it to 200. |

That's a sufficiently large PSU, but I'm still kind of leaning towards power. Here's why:

Those 290Xs will draw around 320W on NTLM brute force, so your GPUs alone are likely pulling around 960W. Doesn't leave much power available for everything else in your system. Plus that's a pretty lo... |

If you're using risers, then bad riser. If you're not using risers, then bad PCI-e slot. If it's not the motherboard, then bad GPU. Basic Layer 1 troubleshooting. |
