Still won't help you much. Let's see, R9 290X can pull 180 KH/s on WPA... 95^16 / 180000 / 31556926 ~= 7748372446595324585 years Hopefully by this point you are realizing that you're not going t...

Post: RE: CudaHashcat64 doesn't recocnize GPU?

Your syntax is fine, but that command isn't really plausible. GPUs are not magic. WPA is very slow. Doesn't really matter how many GPUs you have, brute force is not really feasible with WPA. To brute ...

Dude, it's not an error. It's simply telling you that the password was not found in your search space. You're doing a dictionary attack, so it means that the password was not found in any of the dicti...

see the footnote on the page you downloaded it from. the password is 'hashcat!' not 'hashcat' as WPA has a minimum of 8 chars. as to why it's not finding the password, trailing whitespace maybe? ed...

oclHashcat releases are tied to specific Catalyst versions. For the current release of oclHashcat you need to use 14.9. Newer drivers only work with beta, and in this case, it doesn't work very well.

you can pipe hashcat-cli into oclhashcat, although for fast hashes this might actually be slower than doing it on cpu. but there are also several leetspeak rulesets in the rules/ directory that emu...

It will only work with 14.9. oclHashcat releases are tied to specific Catalyst releases. You have to use precisely that version.

Indeed, and that point has been brought up several times. I think that statement is made with optimism -- as in, hopefully AMD won't fucking break something with the next release and a newer driver wi...

Wordlist attacks for sure, possibly rule-based if you are very smart about which rules you select, and maybe targeted mask attacks. Basically you're probably not going to be able to "cold crack" WP...

Hashcat is very fast, but the algorithms you are reading about are for fast hashes like MD5 and NTLM. WPA on the other hand is very very slow, and you have a shitty GPU. At the speeds you are getting ...

This is likely your problem: Quote: -- -w 2 --gpu-temp-retain 45 -- Get rid of --gpu-temp-retain and use -w 3. Your 7870 is also clocked at 725 Mhz instead of 975 Mhz, so that's another ...

Ok, so with the proper workload settings you're getting 102.7 KH/s - 103.3 KH/s with your 7870, which aligns perfectly with the theoretical max performance of 106.9 KH/s. Therefore oclHashcat is quite...

First, there is no "special limitation." Second, those other programs are lying to you. Your GPU has 1536 cores @ 975 Mhz, and WPA2 has ~ 14000000 instructions. Therefore the theoretical maximum pe...
