Thread: Dictionary attack
Post: RE: Dictionary attack
You can use rockyou to build such a list, just filter out the words that are too long & too short:
Code:
--
awk 'length < 7 && length > 4' rockyou.txt >rockyou-5_6.txt
--

The legacy driver will not work, and cudaHashcat will not work with your GPU, it is simply too old. |

100% positive. cudaHashcat requires CUDA 7, and CUDA 7 does not not support your GPU. |

Thread: oclHashcat benchmark with Apple CPU + GPU
Post: RE: oclHashcat benchmark with Apple CPU + GPU
You are confusing --opencl-device-type for --opencl-devices. When you specify ''--opencl-device-type 3'' you're telling oclHashcat to only use devices which present themselves as CL_DEVICE_TYPE_ACCELE... |

Either you did not extract the archive properly, or you are not in the cudaHashcat directory. I assume it's the latter since you said you added it to your PATH, that will not work. |

No, the order in the charset does matter as long as you are using the --markov-disable flag, which is precisely what rico said. |

No, don't doubt yourself. Yes, your character set is too small. There's a reason the old default charsets & mask were as follows:
