The official 7990 comes out in two weeks. If you're considering something like this it would probably just be best to pick up 4x7990. |

It might work in a 2U chassis like the Supermicro SYS-2027GR-TRFH but I don't know for sure. The Tyan B7015F77V4R is 4U, not 3U, and it will definitely work in there, although you will only be able to... |

Operating system is your choice, it's whatever you're most comfortable with. Use Windows if you are more comfortable with it, although you might look at also installing your favorite GNU utils as well... |

it depends on how many GPUs you have in your cluster. i typically allot 2-4GB per gpu. |

well, that's not necessarily true.
yes, the 6990 draws an insane amount of power, and is unbelievably hard to cool. but the 5970 was a fantastic card, and was quite manageable. i have four running... |

do not install the AMD APP SDK.
