I'll of course stay out of this conversation as much as I can since I am naturally biased, but I will say I'm not sure how many Hashstack users read these forums. I know that some of our customers ...

Thread: only cracking the first part ?
Post: RE: only cracking the first part ?

Sorry, this is not possible. Also your math is wrong, the keyspace would be 95^35. Not that it really matters.

Post: RE: only cracking the first part ?

You would be able to reduce the keyspace with a targeted mask attack, but I don't think it will matter much.

    Thread: 6950 weaker than 5870
Post: RE: 6950 weaker than 5870

5870 is directly comparable to a 6970, so yes, 6950 should be slower. You cannot use Catalyst 11.11 with any version of oclHashcat. Old versions of oclHashcat are timebombed and no longer work. ...

Post: RE: md5stress on Windows with Nvidia?

Not likely. Nvidia supports OpenCL, but md5stress was certainly developed and tested on AMD, and likely needs some workarounds and such to work on Nvidia.

Post: RE: bug in 1.35?

Yes, -m 0 is broken in cudaHashcat 1.35. It's also broken in 1.31 - 1.33, though not as severely. Hoping 1.36 will be released real soon.

Mild overclocking is totally safe as long as you keep the temps below dangerous levels (for the most part, under 90C is acceptable.) In most cases it's a bit dumb if you aren't overclocking, since tha...

Or use combinator.bin from hashcat-utils. Make sure you extract the exact wordlist used from the router's firmware.

If you're using risers, then bad riser. If you're not using risers, then bad PCI-e slot. If it's not the motherboard, then bad GPU. Basic Layer 1 troubleshooting.
