Post: RE: Don't show cracked password in console

you asked clearly, and you received correct answers. the only thing you weren't clear on was the fact that you use windows, so you don't have /dev/null, but you can use nul instead. but -o is what you...

https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=mask_attack not that it matters. you'll never crack a password like that.

Post: RE: 15k budget - how would you spend it?

search through the hardware forum, we cover this a lot :) but the ft77 is definitely a great place to start, either with 8x 7970 or 4x 7990. and i'd absolutely avoid water cooling. also, i just sent y...

Post: RE: 15k budget - how would you spend it?

there's a complicated reason for why i haven't done that, but the simple answer is, i have a financial motivation not to do so, and it would be inappropriate for me to advertise on these forums.

it's on my to-do list, but quickly slipping to the bottom of the list. it certainly looks like a promising alternative to VCL. and the team seems to be a bit more serious about OpenCL middleware th...

it would help if you posted your command line. also, if you're going to specify a username before the hash, you need to use the --username flag. otherwise, get rid of it and just supply the hash.

do not test overclock stability with wpa. test with MD4 and -n 800, or use md5stress.

Post: RE: Strange GPU behavior? (OC Nvidia GTX570)

the patch has nothing to do with it. overvolting and overclocking do not necessarily go hand-in-hand. overvolting is only necessary in the case of aggressive overclocking. a 130 Mhz overclock is no...

cooling is not an issue with this gpu. you can push it to 1100 Mhz without any issues at all as long as you push the fan to 100%. the highest i've gotten the clocks without overvolting is 1150 core, 1...

yes. but hashcat does not support reading from stdin, so you'd need to create a named pipe and use that as a wordlist.
