Sorry, I never followed up with this thread. So like I said above, we ordered two of them thinking they'd make decent cheap boxes for our internal stuff. But after building one out, I don't think w...

You don't necessarily have to re-crack each list. Merge each hash file, but retain the original copies. Crack the merged list. Then use --show against the original lists.

There's no difference between PCI-e 2.0 and PCI-e 3.0. Going from x16 -> x1 you will experience longer loading times, but the cracking speed itself is essentially the same (there are some caveats t...

If both Ubuntu and ESXi are only seeing four cards, then it sounds like you have another issue going on. Maybe you can provide a bit more details about your setup.

Post: RE: only cracking the first part ?

Sorry, this is not possible. Also your math is wrong, the keyspace would be 95^35. Not that it really matters.

Post: RE: only cracking the first part ?

You would be able to reduce the keyspace with a targeted mask attack, but I don't think it will matter much.

Post: RE: 6950 weaker than 5870

5870 is directly comparable to a 6970, so yes, 6950 should be slower. You cannot use Catalyst 11.11 with any version of oclHashcat. Old versions of oclHashcat are timebombed and no longer work. ...

Not likely. Nvidia supports OpenCL, but md5stress was certainly developed and tested on AMD, and likely needs some workarounds and such to work on Nvidia.
