do you really mean > 5000, or do you really mean < 5000? if you mean > 5000, then go with the tyan ft77, hands down. if you mean < 5000, go with a UD7 in a Chenbro RM41300.

VCL does not use Catalyst. Use --force with vclHashcat to ignore the message about the driver. Your compute nodes absolutely must be using 12.8.

It's hard telling what you've done wrong. You ignored the wiki when you installed catalyst 12.10 at first, so who knows where else you deviated from the wiki. You also have oclHashcat installed on a c...

My point is that there's no way for us to know what you have done in order to help troubleshoot your environment. But you did in fact deviate from the wiki when you used VCL 1.16. Nobody has gotten 1....

right. but we found out that vcl 1.17 doesn't actually fix all the issues, and that the vclHashcat binaries are still required. that is why they're still mentioned in the updated wiki article. atom sa...

it's not a huge pain to configure the broker on a compute node, no. just follow all of the instructions in the wiki for the broker configuration on one of your compute nodes.

It means your broker ran out of memory. The only person I know who has had this problem ended up having a misconfigured network, where he tried to multi-home each node but he put the second NICs on a ...

it's the same thing. can you do further testing to determine if you're only seeing this with certain algorithms, certain modes, certain number of hashes, plus vs lite, etc?

Yes, that is the error you will receive if you are not using the vclHashcat binaries. Maybe atom can do another quick release, or give you a beta license so that you can continue testing.

if you are going to put the GPUs into a case, then you should probably buy reference design cards.

you will need a lot more than 1000W of power. you should budget at least 1200W RMS to power the GPUs alone, so i would recommend going with a 1500W or 1600W 80plus Gold or Platinum-certified power sup...
