Thread: Possible minor bug in OclHashcat-Plus
Post: RE: Possible minor bug in OclHashcat-Plus

if this is a bug, it's likely a bug in the driver or ADL. hashcat just reports what the driver reports. so there's not really anything that can be done in hashcat to fix this. have you tried withou...

Post: RE: Make Wordlist

keyspace is 16^16... you would need 313,594,649,253,062,377,472 bytes of storage to make a wordlist out of that, and about would take about 57690425 days to generate. good luck.

search the forums, this has been covered 284023428034 times before. if you're looking at nvidia, you're barking up the wrong tree. especially if you're looking at quadro/tesla.

Post: RE: Diceware cracking math for @thorsheim

At retail prices, you could build a proper VCL cluster with nineteen 4x 7990 compute nodes, a cluster controller, and a 24-port InfiniBand switch with required cabling for about 350,000 USD. It would ...

sure, but this isn't really that much for any standard datacenter to absorb. target 10kW per rack, spread the systems out across four racks (five systems or 20U per rack), shouldn't be a problem for e...

cpu hashcat is not optimized for brute force, it is optimized for wordlist-based attacks.

again, cpu hashcat is not optimized for brute force. if you want to do brute force, use oclHashcat.

the two major issues with 1.22 are the devices randomly changing properties at runtime, and vcl thinking that devices are no longer available or are otherwise already busy. there definitely is a po...

you won't be able to use a pipe with -a 3 or -a 6. so you'll need to create a dictionary with combinator first, then use -a 6 combined_dict.txt ?d?d?d
