Post: RE: How about MSCHAP?
Mmm, Windows is not my strong suit, but MSCHAP is the same as NetNTLM, is it not? |

Thread: How about MSCHAP/MSCHAPv2?
Post: RE: How about MSCHAP/MSCHAPv2?
Can you not re-arrange the output of whatever program you're using to match oclHashcat's expected input format? There's already a thread about this at https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-2563.html |

AWS GPUs are terrible for password cracking. Benchmarks have been posted previously before, but someone just posted benchmarks again today: https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-5071.html

Thread: Gpu advice
Post: RE: Gpu advice
Forget AMD. Currently the best GPUs are GTX 970, 980, 980 Ti, and Titan X. Any of them will be an upgrade over your current HD 7950. |

7zip is an extremely slow algorithm. If you think 13 KH/s is slow, you should see what the speed is on CPU instead of your 2x 980Ti...

It doesn't really work like that. You're going to have to use your brain on this one. |

No. But I can tell you...
R9 390X = Re-badged R9 290X but only available in OEM design, so it's shit

980 is a good card, but that card pictured is not a not reference design card, it is an OEM design card designed for gaming. You really need a reference design card for oclHashcat. |

I think the problem here is you do not realize what --stdout means. --stdout means print every single candidate that is generated to --stdout, e.g. for piping into another cracking application. You wo... |

Thread: Cli + Rule odd behave
Post: RE: Cli + Rule odd behave
Oh shit, right, I'm sorry. I was drunk when I wrote that. So yes, you're right, when using --stdout no cracking is possible at all, because it will indeed treat all arguments as a wordlist. Sorry. But... |

Yes --stdout is mostly for generating candidates to pipe to other crackers or preprocessors, but also a little for "is this rule doing what I think it's doing." |

Thread: Dell Precision (w/M1000M)

I wouldn't run oclHashcat on that laptop for two reasons: one, that GPU is terrible, especially for slow hashes like NetNTLM (it is Maxwell, but it will be ~2.3x slower than a GTX 960 -- even a GTX 75... |
