Post: RE: 1080gtx running slow with WPA

Are you sure there's only one handshake in your capture? Because it sounds like there may be two different SSIDs.

@rsberzerker you do not need a 128-bit CPU and/or 128-bit OS to do 128-bit math ;) Internally hashcat uses uint64 for pretty much everything, including keyspace. But as hardware gets faster and clust...

Yes, the write protection password can simply be stripped out of the document.

Two Hashcat processes running simultaneously? One you forgot about running under screen? :P I don't know, I'm kind of at a loss on this one.

Not quite. The difference is with mp (or any other external candidate generator), candidates are generated on the CPU, piped into hashcat via stdin, and then streamed to the compute devices, whereas t...

You need to take total system cost into consideration, not just the cost of the cards themselves.

Correct. Legacy Hashstack is tied to upstart plus some other things specific to Ubuntu 14.04. Hashstack Pro will officially ship on 16.04.

Post: RE: Upgrade graphic card on PC, what to buy ?

You need to stress test the card under compute workloads, not gaming workloads. GTA-V will not stress the GPU anywhere near like md5stress or MD4 single hash brute force will.

65C is completely fine, why would you sacrifice performance when the card is not at all in danger of overheating?

Reducing temp from 65C to 50C will have no measurable impact on longevity.

Don't forget writing to potfile, rewriting hashlist when using --remove, etc. can all present a bottleneck when using a storage device with low throughput.
