There's really no good reason to use an AMD GPU in a new build. Should be able to find a GTX 970 for around the same price.

32GB total, or 32GB free? And how many Titan X do you have? cuMemAllocHost is returning CUDA_ERROR_OUT_OF_MEMORY so you're definitely running out of host memory at some point.

You're not answering the most important question: 32GB total, or 32GB free? Are you observing the memory utilization while running hashcat? It's not "normal," but it all depends on what else is run...

A lot of people on the forums have reported issues and crashes on Windows 10. Might want to try another OS.

You cannot achieve any acceleration with a straight wordlist attack against a fast hash on GPU. You need an amplifier to gain acceleration. This is why your brute force speeds are so much faster.

The modify password doesn't need to be cracked, it can simply be removed. Save an unencrypted copy of the file, then use any of the tools available on the Internet to remove the modify password.
