You're introducing unnecessary complexity and compromising on the quality of components just to run a 6 GPU rig, when you could simply build a smaller, less complex rig with 3 high-end GPUs instead an...

Welcome to the exponential wall of brute force. If you're going to make a habit of this, you should learn math.

GTX 1080 is the sweet spot for both Perf/$ and Perf/Watt. You should only get one PSU, 80Plus Platinum or Titanium if possible. The wattage is a simple matter of math. There's no reason to get ...

Post: RE: 4x SLI GTX 1060 Hashcat Rig

I have different advice. 1. No such thing as an "overkill CPU" now that Hashcat can use both CPU & GPU cooperatively, and modern CPUs with AVX2 are actually fast enough to make a noticeable differe...

You should read about the difference between literal keyspace and hashcat keyspace.

The characters are not problematic, it is definitely an issue with how you are testing. Again, encoding matters. The encoding of the website you're using to create the hash, the encoding of your termi...

AMD dropped support for VLIW cards, only GCN is supported now, so you will not be able to use any newer drivers. I believe Catalyst 15.9 is the last version you can use (though it might be even earlie...

For Ubuntu 14.04 you don't need to install any of those, just "aptitude install fglrx". This is covered here: https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=linux_server_howto

The P100 is a much better option, and yes it definitely should be supported.

That VGA chipset does not have programmable shaders, and even if it did, it would surely be many times slower than your CPU.

I have no idea why you'd ever want to do this (are you attempting to make a lookup table?) but hashcat is not the correct tool.

My guess is that because the OpenCL runtime has no idea what your CPU is, it doesn't apply any optimizations when compiling kernels. Might be able to do some manual kernel compilation to circumvent th...

Yeah that's like 2 years old at least. I'd either install the AMD GPU driver or Intel OpenCL.
