cluster of this size will cost you about $60k to build and draw about 13kW of electricity. if you're still serious about building this "super cracking mechine," then check out:

SL3 is no longer in hashcat. maybe you should have done some research before you dropped 30k on hardware. |

Everything looks great except for the PSU and hard drives.
You definitely do not need two PSU... just one 1500W PSU will be enough for whatever you plan to put in there. Do you plan on running three... |

Three GPUs is much preferred over four GPUs. With four GPUs, the GPUs will be directly side-by-side, so no airflow in between them. With three GPUs, you can leave a PCI slot in between each card to al... |

Thread: What does "MCU" stands for?
Post: RE: What does "MCU" stands for?
MCU is the compute unit, which is a simultaneous multiprocessor. you have 14 of them. on your architecture, each MCU has 8 shaders, which nvidia calls "cuda cores." 8*14 = 112 total shaders. |

Thread: Team Hashcats 8-GPUs rackserver ("only" PCI-E Gen.2 x16 based)
Post: RE: Team Hashcats 8-GPUs rackserver ("only" PCI-E ...
There's no benefit to using PCI-e Gen 3 slots over PCI-e Gen 2 slots. Gen 3 cards still work at full speed in a Gen 2 slot. |

nvidia driver. you're missing the cuda runtime. make sure you install the latest version from nvidia.com, and ensure the installer completes without errors. |
