depending on which style cooler your gpu has, those case fans might be making the problem worse, not better.

means it was unable to get the temperature from the card. R9 290 is an Overdrive6 GPU, so using the Overdrive5 API to manage the card may not work (it actually does seem to work on catalyst 14.4 on li...

there's nothing you can do, has to be done in code. i wonder if only the 290X was added as OD6 but not the 290. i'd open a trac ticket.

yes, you must be using x11 to use libatiadlxx. without x11 and libatiadlxx you have no way to control or monitor your GPU, which is a very bad thing.

oclHashcat does not support MS Office documents. Further, there is no hash in the document that you can crack. MS Office uses PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA1 to derive an encryption key to encrypt the document.

your benchmarks are fine, you don't have any problems in your first post. in your second post, your card is throttling due to temperature because you only have the fan at 15%, and you're right at t...

oclHashcat doesn't touch the fans, so there is no default fan config for oclHashcat. you still need to use amdconfig or od6config to control your fans. we set our fans to 90-100% on boot and leave ...
