you actually aren't having any issue at all, the algorithm you are cracking is just really slow. assilum Wrote: (08-16-2014, 09:02 AM) -- Status.........: Running Time.Started...: Sat Aug 16 08:...

you are specifying a salted hash mode without supplying the hash and salt in "hash:salt" format. it looks like you are just concatenating the salt with the hash.

bcrypt is slow because it performs thousands of small-but-frequent pseudorandom memory reads and writes. thus the algorithm is very expensive.

if no mask is supplied, hashcat defaults to: -1 '?l?d?u' -2 '?l?d' -3 '?l?d*!$@_' ?1?2?2?2?2?2?2?3?3?3?3?d?d?d?d what to put as the mask depends entirely on you.

If you're not sure what atom means by "SM_*", this is what is called "Compute Capability" on that page atom linked to. So if your GPU has a "Compute Capability" of 1.x, then you will need to buy a new...

as has been suggested on this forum numerous times, you should use something like Driver Fusion to remove the old drivers.

has the same number of stream processors as the 7950/R9 280 with very similar TDP, so it should benchmark about the same as those two cards.

you're exceeding the maximum salt length that oclHashcat supports. there's no way around this.

you'll never receive full acceleration from a straight wordlist attack against a fast hash, that's why it's 1/3 the speed. need to add some rules.

you're specifying "--gpu-temp-abort=80" so that's likely why it's aborting. why are you setting that so low?

First, you don't seem to even know what GPUs you have in your system. You say you have 4x R9 280X and one 7950, but from your screenshot it is quite clear that you have 1x R9 290, 2x R9 280X, 1x R9 28...
