Thread: Sapphire R9 270 Dual-X slower than HD5850
Post: RE: Sapphire R9 270 Dual-X slower than HD5850
doesn't make sense, something is not right. it might be because you aren't specifying a mask and thus aren't gaining full acceleration for smaller keyspaces. |

No, the error is "ADL_Overdrive6_FanSpeed_Get() is missing", not "ADL_Overdrive6_FanSpeed_Get() -5" or "ADL_Overdrive6_FanSpeed_Get() -8". This means that the function itself was not found in the ADL ... |

What's the output of ./oclHashcat64.bin -m 7100 -b on each GPU?
Also why are you using sudo? |

Post: RE: Sapphire R9 270 Dual-X slower than HD5850
Hm, doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
The R9 270 is showing up as Pitcairn, but Pitcairn is HD 7850 -- there aren't any Pitcairn-based R9 GPUs, and your core clock doesn't match the stock clock o... |

Thread: Sapphire R9 270 Dual-X slower than HD5850
Post: RE: Sapphire R9 270 Dual-X slower than HD5850
Actually Pitcairn is GCN, I was thinking it was VLIW5, but that's just 7350 - 7670. So Hashcat should be loading a VLIW1 kernel regardless. But it may still be doing something else that is suboptimal ... |

Thread: Lowering FSB Increases WPA2 Speed
Post: RE: Lowering FSB Increases WPA2 Speed
Literally impossible. WPA kernel in oclHashcat is ~ 14000000 instructions. You haven't posted your clock speed, so I am assuming a stock 1000 Mhz core clock. 2048 cores * 1000000000 Hz / 14000000 inst... |

I'll also further go on to state that there is absolutely no correlation between FSB speed and GPU speed. The GPU is a separate device that runs independent of the host system, only sharing the PCI-e ... |

hanging while loading X means the driver is stuck in iowait trying to communicate with a gpu that was there, but is now not there. the issue is most likely with your risers. if it's not the riser, the... |

?b?b?b?b?b is not for the collision, but for cracking the RC4 key. Once you know the RC4 key, you have the first five bytes of the MD5|SHA1 hash. You then collide that hash to find a password that wor... |

The answer normally would be yes, but in your case the answer is no as Nvidia has dropped support in the latest CUDA release for your GTX 275. |

this is a basic operating system question, not a maskprocessor question.
to prevent the shell from interpreting arguments with spaces as multiple arguments, wrap the argument in quotes. |
