First, for mode 1420 your hash needs to be formatted as hash:salt Second, your syntax is entirely wrong. Read the wiki article on mask attacks.

Post: RE: How to emulate 3 dictionaries?

You should have been more specific in your original question, and then you would have received a specific answer. Instead your question was vague and generic, so I gave you a generic reply. YMMV.

Post: RE: ERROR: restore value greater keyspace

You are calculating keyspace incorrectly. You're calculating the "real keyspace," and not the "oclHashcat keyspace." The keyspace value oclHashcat uses is the keyspace of the base loop. The --keys...

best64.rule is not enough rules to gain full acceleration. try using d3ad0ne.rule or rockyou-30000.rule

150 KH/s is a great speed for WPA2 on the GTX 970. WPA is just a really slow algorithm.

Post: RE: Is it possible to find the salt for a known pa...

Easiest way would be to treat it as sha256(pass.salt), use the plaintext password as the salt, and crack the salt as the password. But this begs the question -- if you already have the password, wh...

Post: RE: Is it possible to find the salt for a known pa...

If it's static across all users then it's not a salt, it's a shared secret -- AKA, "pepper." But my advice still stands. Use -m 1410 and supply the hash in "hash:salt" format. Or in this case, "has...

The rate is likely falling because the GPU is throttling itself. The 295X has a very low Powertune target temperature -- it has a hard-coded maximum value of only 75C (compared to the 290X, which has ...

Powertune doesn't just throttle for heat, it also throttles for power consumption (hence its name.) You are aggressively overclocking, so you are surely exceeding the amount of power the card is willi...

No, it absolutely is not the best card to buy for oclHashcat. You are sorely mistaken. 2x 290X are cheaper, faster, and behave much more civilly. GTX 980 however is the all-around best card to buy. ...

Again, it's not just about temperature. It's also about how much power the card is drawing. That's why it's called Powertune. The firmware on the GPU will not allow the card to draw more watts than it...
