Thread: 16 characters password
Post: RE: 16 characters password
Brute force would take much longer than "several weeks." You're talking about a keyspace of 62^15 and that is just not possible to brute force.
Best approach would be wordlist-based attacks, using ... |

Thread: Asrock H81 & Radeon 7990 incompatibility
Post: RE: Asrock H81 & Radeon 7990 incompatibility
5x 7990 is 10 GPUs, and the AMD driver only supports 8. So even if it did boot, it wouldn't work. |

Thread: Fury X has joined the game
Post: RE: Fury X has joined the game
R9 Fury X is basically just 2x 7970 squeezed onto a single chip, so there is absolutely no way it's "sub-275W." I'm sure they make aggressive use of PowerTune to try to keep the power below 275W, but ... |

No, the specs confirm that it IS 2x 7970 on a single chip.
7970: GCN, 2048 stream processors, 32 compute units, 4.3 billion transistors
Fury X: GCN, 4096 stream processors, 64 compute units, 8.9 b... |

Or use combinator.bin from hashcat-utils.
Make sure you extract the exact wordlist used from the router's firmware. |

Except "updating GCN" to AMD just means a die shrink and adding more cores.
Edit: apparently not even a die shrink. 1000mm^2!!! |

Sounds like you're tripping the circuit protection in your power supply. Looks like you have 4x 7990 or 8x 7970, how big is your power supply?

If you're getting an ASIC hang during NTLM brute force, then it is very likely a power issue. How big is your PSU? |

If you're using risers, then bad riser. If you're not using risers, then bad PCI-e slot. If it's not the motherboard, then bad GPU. Basic Layer 1 troubleshooting. |

Post: RE: 290x Stops Cracking and Hangs OclHashcat
Those 290Xs will draw around 320W on NTLM brute force, so your GPUs alone are likely pulling around 960W. Doesn't leave much power available for everything else in your system. Plus that's a pretty lo... |

The speeds look fine to me, atom. Both the single hash speeds and the multi-hash speeds. Are you perhaps looking at the speed of the Firepro card? |
