knowing how to use your shell -- including writing short shell scripts or one-liners -- is unavoidable in this line of work. no program will ever be able to do everything for you.

hashcat's interface already suits advanced users well. since hashcat is intended for advanced users -- or geeks, as you called them -- there is no problem here.

If both Ubuntu and ESXi are only seeing four cards, then it sounds like you have another issue going on. Maybe you can provide a bit more details about your setup.

Looks like you have some garbage characters before the start of the hash? hash.txt needs to be a plain ascii text file with no encoding, and only the hash itself should be in the file.

I have no idea why you'd ever want to do this (are you attempting to make a lookup table?) but hashcat is not the correct tool.

Reading the output of --help or the wiki will not answer his question. oclHashcat does not support what he wants to do, because what he wants to do is braindead.
