VEGA is already faster than 1080 in OpenCL benchmarks. Take a look at the bitcoin mining.

Post: RE: 1080 TI - new best bang for buck?
My pessimism is grounded in realism though ;) Keep in mind that Bitweasil and I predicted AMD's sharp downturn back in 2012. Even though the 7970 had just been released and was by all rights a fantast... |

At stock clocks you should be around 415 KH/s, with an overclock you should be around 530 KH/s. So yes, 290 KH/s is pretty low -- that's actually right in line with how a GTX 1070 performs. Assuming y... |

Are you sure there's only one handshake in your capture? Because it sounds like there may be two different SSIDs. |

Two Hashcat processes running simultaneously? One you forgot about running under screen? :P I don't know, I'm kind of at a loss on this one. |

'$' denotes a variable name in the bash shell. If you provide the bare hash string without escaping it, bash thinks '$ethereum' is the name of a variable, whose value is null.

Thread: 15 chars limitation
Post: RE: 15 chars limitation
it would be less of an issue if combinator in hashcat behaved like combinator.bin or combinator in oclHashcat-plus. but, it would be even nicer if the a0 and a1 kernels just supported longer lengths.

there's always a tradeoff, and a small loss of speed is an acceptable tradeoff to make something more flexible and more powerful. speed isn't everything. |

Best approach would be wordlist-based attacks, using ... |

That's not at all how that works.
First, it would be $HEX[c2] and $HEX[a7], not what you have above.
Moreover, $HEX[] encoding only works for wordlists, not masks.
Maybe what you meant was --... |
