hashcat-cli, oclHashcat, oclHashcat-plus, and oclHashcat-lite were all rolled into one program simply called "hashcat". |

Thread: I need help with syntax
Post: RE: I need help with syntax
oclHashcat always uses Markov by default everywhere a mask is used, unless you explicitly disable it via the '--markov-disable' switch.
You have a syntax error in the command that you shared. You a... |

your threshold would need to be less than 26 for this mask for it to have any effect |

maskprocessor is classic incremental, not markov. so you would want to use statsprocessor to see the actual generated words. |

oclHashcat generates plaintext candidates on the GPU, and thus is not able to output candidates to stdout.
So again, you would use statsprocessor. |

no need to use an hcmask file for a single mask. and if you're going to use an hcmask file, your custom charset defines should go in the hcmask file, like so:
?l?u?d,?u?l,?2?l?l?l?1?1?1?1 |

hcmask doesn't support -t, so you'd need to script out this attack. |

Thread: I want build a 8*HD7970 server
Post: RE: I want build a 8*HD7970 server
You cannot use Xeon E5-2690 with a Tyan FT77B7015. That system only works with Xeon 5500/5600 CPUs. (EDIT: I see that you specified the FT77A-B7059, not FT77B7015. AFAIK the FT77A-B7059 is not on the ... |

Thread: ibm security directory server hash
Post: RE: ibm security directory server hash
Assuming the plaintext provided is a valid password for one of the two hashes, it doesn't appear to be any of the modes Hashcat supports. Tried 1410, 1420, 1430, 1440, 1450, and 1460 to no avail. |

Well, you have the hash string "MWw4MjlrM2loajFz:qu0VLHJPa2dNL6+7bRIpcRGcdInpFO6B5OGMgnyEeyM=", we assume the first part is the salt and the second part is the hash. Just convert it from base64 encodi... |

Thread: Identification of hash type.
Post: RE: Identification of hash type.
@Kangaroot: not wise to post your own password hash on these forums, especially if you're admitting to password reuse.
Anyway, with a proper hash:plain pair this is super simple to reverse engineer. ... |
