Thread: New GPU
Post: RE: New GPU
980 is a good card, but that card pictured is not a not reference design card, it is an OEM design card designed for gaming. You really need a reference design card for oclHashcat. |

Thread: new gpu!!
Post: RE: new gpu!!
i don't understand why people keep recommending the 295X. it is a very poor choice for hashcat.
i would highly recommend the GTX 980. stay away from the GTX 780Ti, that's a waste of money. |

based on your previous post, i presume you are cracking md5crypt hashes, not salted md5 as you state.

A zip file that old is likely PKZIP which hashcat does not yet support. |

Thread: new user confused
Post: RE: new user confused
Potfile is in hash:plain format, so the password is "hash234".
To show the password with --show you'd need to supply hashcat with the original hashlist. |

copy/pasting terminal output is always preferred over posting screen shots. at a minimum you should at least post the command line you used. |

Just because it hasn't been updated for 16.04 doesn't mean it's not relevant anymore. This is how I still build out my remaining AMD systems. |
