Post: RE: Very slow at the end (>=1.30)

That's just the way it works. GPUs work on massively parallel problems, therefore you have to give them lots of work to do in order to gain acceleration. Once you start to run out of work, you start t...

how are you measuring this? or is this from memory only.

status doesn't work, you just have to live with it. no, those speeds are not normal for a 7970. a single 7970 should be able to pull about 130 kh/s. but, those speeds are probably to be expected with...

broker specs are solid, although more ram may be needed if you ever decide to use all 32 GPUs. you won't be able to use very high -n values with that "little" ram. you're on ethernet, so you're guara...

The official 7990 comes out in two weeks. If you're considering something like this it would probably just be best to pick up 4x7990.

It might work in a 2U chassis like the Supermicro SYS-2027GR-TRFH but I don't know for sure. The Tyan B7015F77V4R is 4U, not 3U, and it will definitely work in there, although you will only be able to...

Kuci pretty much said it all. It's difficult to calculate what percentage of speed loss you will see because it depends on a number of factors (number of nodes, number of GPUs, network topology, at...

VCL does not use Catalyst. Use --force with vclHashcat to ignore the message about the driver. Your compute nodes absolutely must be using 12.8.

It's hard telling what you've done wrong. You ignored the wiki when you installed catalyst 12.10 at first, so who knows where else you deviated from the wiki. You also have oclHashcat installed on a c...

it's not a huge pain to configure the broker on a compute node, no. just follow all of the instructions in the wiki for the broker configuration on one of your compute nodes.
