The error in your screenshot is from your operating system, not hashcat. You might want to find a Windows tutorial before looking for a hashcat tutorial. |

sha1(pass.salt) and sha1(salt.pass) are two different algorithms. if you need sha1(salt.pass) then you cannot use lite.

oh, osx 10.4 hashes, ok. so in that case, you will need to do a little work to use hashcat with this algorithm.

actually i just realized you said you were using a vm, in that case you wouldn't be able to use litecat or pluscat anyway. you can only use hashcat. |

Sounds like you're tripping the circuit protection in your power supply. Looks like you have 4x 7990 or 8x 7970, how big is your power supply?

hashcat does not support the truecrypt_volume2john format, so if you check your logs (if hashtopus even logs this information), you'll likely see that hashcat errored out with "no hashes loaded".
