Post: RE: permission denied in hybrid mode
use a loop.
Code:
--
for wordlist in wordlists/*.txt; do hashcat ... -a 6 $wordlist ?d?d?d; done

You also don't need to use full paths, relative paths will work just fine. Will make your command line easier to read, and easier to spot errors like this one. |

As far as I understand, there is not much of a performance difference when attacking smaller compared to larger hashlists (fast hashes) with oclHashcat.

this is expected because you aren't giving the left side enough work to do. i'm surprised your gpu utilization is that high, when i try your mask i only get about 2% utilization on one GPU. |

Thread: performance diffrence PCIe
Post: RE: performance diffrence PCIe
There's no difference between PCI-e 2.0 and PCI-e 3.0.
Going from x16 -> x1 you will experience longer loading times, but the cracking speed itself is essentially the same (there are some caveats t... |

you'll never receive full acceleration from a straight wordlist attack against a fast hash, that's why it's 1/3 the speed. need to add some rules. |

right. you're using shared resources, and most vps providers make heavy use of oversubscription so that they can put a large number of virtual machines on a single host. you're probably only getting 1... |
