"linux is better than windows" is highly subjective and purely a matter of opinion. there are certainly many things that microsoft does better than the open source community.

Thread: Why 7970 GHz Edition 6GB work like a 7970 classic ?

can you explain what you mean by this? the amount of memory does not effect the speed, and especially not with lite since it uses no memory. it will work just like a normal 7970, just about 5% faster ... |

nope, memory has nothing to do with it.
even though 7970 runs at a higher clock rate, 6990 is faster because it has more stream processors. 6990 is a 5.1 TFLOPS card, vs 7970 which is only 4.3 TFLOP... |

Thread: Why 290x showes 3G memory?
Post: RE: Why 290x showes 3G memory?
the amount of memory its reporting is not the amount of memory on the card, but rather the amount of memory that is available for compute tasks. if you want to use more than 3GB, you can set the GPU_M... |

Yes, it's possible. I just told you how. Use -m 6100, and manually append the salt with each attack. Treat the salt as part of the password candidate you're attacking.
For example if the salt is '1... |
