Thread: New build with Titan X
Post: RE: New build with Titan X
If you're using reference design cards with the RM41300-FS81 then you can safely stack 4 GPUs on top of each other without a gap in between each. Temps will be a little bit high, but should still be w... |

Reference cards have a shroud with the 1 smaller fan that expels hot air through the "exhaust" (a little vent next to where you plug in the HDMI cable)

Thread: New Build with dual R9 290s - error
Post: RE: New Build with dual R9 290s - error
yeah, we're ebaying all of our 290X's and sticking with 7970s for the foreseeable future. not enough time or patience to play games with AMD. |

when i recommend reference design cards, i am thinking along the lines of servers & dedicated cracking rigs. i wouldn't use a reference design card in a quiet desktop case that's going to be sitting i... |

Thread: New Build - liq cooled 7990's
Post: RE: New Build - liq cooled 7990's
are those three radiators really enough? gpufreak has like 2802384032 radiators on his quad 7990 systems. |

eight cards is not possible. max is eight GPUs. so four 7990s max per system. |

ah ok, that makes more sense. but i still don't know if that will be enough radiators. seriously, check out gpufreak's build. you could build a fortress out of all the radiators he has for his 7990s.

Post: RE: New Build - 4*7990
i don't know where you heard that you need dual cpus to be able to have 8 gpus, that's definitely not true. we've ran quad-duals on single low-end cpus for years now. just need to have the right mothe... |

The GPU you've selected is an OEM design card, not a reference design card, which we would never recommend buying for hash cracking. Further, I would strongly recommend the GTX 970 over the 290X. |

First you can try higher -u and -n settings to see what your card can support.

yes, two 7970s will take over half a year to brute force a nine-character wpa key comprised of all uppercase letters.
wpa is properly slow. |

the 7670M would be the discrete gpu, and the 6620G would be the integrated GPU. |

It looks like he doesn't know the password, simply wants us to crack it for him since he doesn't have a GPU. Therefore, he gets the banhammer. |
