Thread: GTX Titan X
Post: RE: GTX Titan X
Hmm, the last rumors I heard said 3072 shaders for the 980Ti, but it's possible that they were seeing the Titan X and thinking it was the 980Ti. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
I strongly disagre... |

Thread: GTX Titan X
Post: RE: GTX Titan X
295X2 doesn't just throttle for heat, it also throttles for power consumption. 4096 cores on GCN with the die shrink will likely want to draw somewhere between 375W - 425W at full load, but the card i... |

if by "green team" you mean nvidia, and "red team" you mean amd, then no, the green team most definitely doesn't have more compute power than the red team. the titan is only a 3.5 TFLOPS card, compare... |

Thread: GTX 980M Slow speed
Post: RE: GTX 980M Slow speed
GTX 980M is not the same as a GTX 980. Mobile GPUs are slower due to power and heat constraints.
The amount of video memory is inconsequential for cracking performance, unless you're cracking scryp... |

Thread: GTX 970 VRAM allocation bug
Post: RE: GTX 970 VRAM allocation bug
It doesn't sound bad at all, and it's certainly not a matter of Nvidia not testing their hardware. It's a matter of using a lower-performing memory controller on a non-flagship GPU, which is entirely ... |

Thread: GTX 970 Benchmarks
Post: RE: GTX 970 Benchmarks
You just answered your own question: no Xorg, so no PowerMizer tuning. Cards are throttling to save power. |

No :( You need xorg to enable CoolBits and set the Performance Level. You also need xorg to disable the kernel timeout.
For a headless system you can just use this:
Code:

Thread: GTX 970 Benchmarks
Post: RE: GTX 970 Benchmarks
check your clocks. maybe one card is factory overclock and the other one isn't.
100 Mhz overclock is quite mild, so you likely won't have any issues running that 24/7. |

Post: RE: GTX 970 Benchmark
Yes, as philsmd said, you forgot the most important part ;) You have to add rules to get acceleration. Otherwise you are better off using CPU. |

best64.rule is not enough rules to gain full acceleration. try using d3ad0ne.rule or rockyou-30000.rule |

Thread: GTX 950 bench?
Post: RE: GTX 950 bench?
950 will be 2.67x slower than a GTX 980, but actually a bit slower than that even since it won't overclock as well. So I'd just divide 980 benchmarks by 3 and that should roughly give you the speed yo... |
