For those interested that either aren't at Passwords^12 or do not use Twitter, I've posted my Passwords^12 presentation about VCL clustering with Hashcat at https://bindshell.nl/pub/Password_Cracking_H...

no, supercl just shifts where you need the high bandwidth/low latency link from between your broker and compute nodes, to between your compute nodes and your storage. why do you want to eliminate inf...

sort of. supercl reduces the amount of kernel executions that occur over the network. instead of making one call for each kernel execution, it allows you to make just one call for *all* your kernel...

Man, I have no idea what you guys are on about. The entire 5000-series in general is very power efficient and quite easy to cool, and the 5970s draw less watts than a 7970. I run all four of my 5970s ...

VCL does not use Catalyst. Use --force with vclHashcat to ignore the message about the driver. Your compute nodes absolutely must be using 12.8.

It's hard telling what you've done wrong. You ignored the wiki when you installed catalyst 12.10 at first, so who knows where else you deviated from the wiki. You also have oclHashcat installed on a c...

it's not a huge pain to configure the broker on a compute node, no. just follow all of the instructions in the wiki for the broker configuration on one of your compute nodes.
