Thread: How about RAR5 to hashcat?
Post: RE: How about RAR5 to hashcat?
No that's incorrect, rar2john supports RAR5. The problem is, it is not a standalone utility. It is compiled into john. I've looked at breaking it out into a standalone utility, but it will take a lot ... |

Thread: AMD hUMA and oclHashcat

You are using 15.12 which does not support VLIW cards, only GCN. You either need a newer GPU or an older driver. |

Thread: Performance / GeForce GTX 760
Post: RE: Performance / GeForce GTX 760
you'll never receive full acceleration from a straight wordlist attack against a fast hash, that's why it's 1/3 the speed. need to add some rules. |

Thread: Rules Mask
Post: RE: Rules Mask
if this is a fast algorithm, you will waste more time trying to figure out how to avoid invalid candidates, than you would just hitting the whole 10^10 keyspace. |

it is absolutely possible that it is faster on cpu than on your gpu. gpus are not magic "everything goes faster" devices. you're using a very low-end mobile chipset. |
