You have two problems here. First problem, the input data is way too long, oclHashcat does not support input of that length. Second problem, you can't math. Your keyspace isn't 145*38, it's 145...

hashcat and oclHashcat are optimized for short inputs, like passwords, and thus only implement a single MD5 block (55 bytes.) You are wanting to hash 434 bytes, so you need a generic multiblock implem...

you can get a small increase by adding "-w 3" to your command line, but you shouldn't have very high expectations with that gpu.

yes, but it is currently not supported by hashcat. you can use john the ripper, and extract the hash with office2john.

visiontek, but i would highly recommend you stay away from them. we've had a ton of issues with them -- three dead gpus! we actually seem to be having the best luck with the HIS reference design GPUs...

what kernel are you using, by the way? all of my systems are on 3.2.0-39-generic. it could be that a more recent backported patch was introduced that has broken compatibility with 13.1

haha ok. we've had some growing pains with one of our FT72B7015's as well, and what we ended up doing was pulling it out of the rack and leaving it at the office for a few days until we could work out...
