Post: RE: Hashcat does't see my CPU

Yeah that's like 2 years old at least. I'd either install the AMD GPU driver or Intel OpenCL.

Post: RE: WPA2 Enterprise ?

no wifi expert, but afaik WPA enterprise doesn't use a PSK so there's no password to crack.

sounds like you incorrectly unpacked the archive, perhaps you used '7z e' instead of '7z x'. or maybe you inadvertently deleted the kernel directory. but that kernel is definitely shipped in the archi...

Post: RE: Dell Precision (w/M1000M)

I wouldn't run oclHashcat on that laptop for two reasons: one, that GPU is terrible, especially for slow hashes like NetNTLM (it is Maxwell, but it will be ~2.3x slower than a GTX 960 -- even a GTX 75...

Indeed even if you don't use it for Hashcat very often, it still makes a very solid workstation. I don't even have a desktop, I use this laptop for everything. And yes the price is extremely competiti...

Post: RE: Specify what to check in a dictionary

Incorrect, -j/-k work just fine on GPU. But if you're trying to use -j/-k with -a 0, you're doing it wrong as they only work with attack modes 1, 6, and 7. Moreover, reject rules only work with -j/-k,...

Hashcat supports whatever Catalyst supports, and Catalyst only supports compute on Radeon HD 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx cards. If you have a choice, go with HD 7970s.

if you have a recent (current generation) CPU you should be able to use AVX if on Intel, or XOP if on AMD. check your processor flags (e.g. grep xop /proc/cpuinfo)

oclHashcat doesn't run as setuid root, so there's no way it could be exploited to gain anything.
