yes, two 7970s will take over half a year to brute force a nine-character wpa key comprised of all uppercase letters. wpa is properly slow.

Post: RE: NTLM hash, how practical is it?

thread hijacking is against the rules, but since you asked so politely... your "ha.hash" file needs to just have the "[32-Char Hash]" portion of the line in it, nothing else. so just get rid of eve...

why are you using -m 5600? 5600 is NetNTLMv2, not NTLM.

Post: RE: NTLM hash, how practical is it?

NetNTLM is different from NTLM. Yes, -m 1000 is the correct mode. If you want to use ?a?a?a?a?a?a?a?a as your mask, then simply specify that mask on the command line.

just add "?a?a?a?a?a?a?a?a" to the end of that command.

The best of the best is the Titan X. The S9170 is just an underclocked 290X. The server cards do not make any sense for hash cracking.

Yes, the W9100 is the same as the S9170. Again, stay away from Firepro, Tesla, Quadro, etc. These cards use the exact same GPU chip as their desktop (Radeon, GTX) counterparts, just underclocked and s...

No matter how many PC's you've built, if you've never built a hash cracking rig before, you will almost surely fail if you attempt to jump straight into building an 8-GPU rig. It's the equivalent of s...

Where did you hear that the Tyan FT77 will not recognize the GTX 980? EDIT: Confirmed bullshit. We've got 8x GTX 980 in a Tyan FT77 running just fine right now. Will post a full review later tonight.
